Peer Educator

Center for Healthy Aging is looking to fill the role of peer educator for our Dig In To Grow Healthy: Intergenerational Community Garden and Indigenous Food Program (DITGH) SNAP-Ed nutrition curriculums. Responsibilities/Requirements for peer educator 

Responsible for safeguarding and care of all program materials 

  • Voluntarily maintain adequate inventory/supply of workshop materials and submit timely requests for replenishing 
  • Peer Educator must be flexible.
    • Work/Volunteer times will be varied 
    • Teaching locations are at various location within Reno, NV 

Qualifications for Peer Educator 

  • Dedication to health education and wellness, health promotion
  • Ability to develop informational and marketing materials for use in print and online 
  • Experience teaching or facilitating youth and adult learning is preferred 
  • Successful completion of Peer Employment Training is required
